The new start-up model Aster 180C is the most compact sewing machine on the market. The feeder and the sewing unit are mounted side-by-side on a single base frame. The book sewing machine Aster 180C offers most of the features found on larger Aster models and a maximum mechanical speed of 180 cycles/min achieved by employing a more powerful main motor.

The sewer saddle is driven by a camshaft running in a sealed oil-filled compartment (cam box).
The newly designed leveler bar on the sewing saddle, which keeps signatures in the right position during sewing, is also made of carbon fibre.

The Aster 180C book sewing machine can be employed in a Uniplex gathering and sewing line.
