There is an interesting new addition to the product range of Meccanotecnica: the Iglue line for back gluing and lining of sewn book blocks with the option of soft cover finishing.
The Iglue line completes the production cycle started by automatic gathering and sewing lines such as the Uniplex, Multiplex SA, Magix, Bombax and Bombix. It represents a cornerstone of Meccanotecnica's broader plan to produce books in a single pass starting from folded signatures.
The Iglue produces books or book blocks that are ready to be delivered to a three-knife trimmer, a pallettizer or a casing-in line.
The line is very compact and offers excellent reliability.

For hard cover production, the Iglue is configurated with the end papering station. The unit is designed to ensure perfect alignment of end papers onto book block.
For soft cover production, the Iglue features a cover feeder equipped with automatic size change, which sensibly reduces the make-ready time.
